John Heyderman received his BA degree in philosophy at Birkbeck College, University of London, writing his dissertation on the mind/body problem in Spinoza and Davidson. He has given talks and presentations, particularly on the philosophy of Spinoza and environmental ethics, for Philosophy For All , Pinner Philosophy Group, Gerrards Cross Philosophy Group, Beit Klal Yisrael, Arkadia International Bookshop (Helsinki), the Leeds Philosophical and Literary Society and to various audiences. He has taught courses including Philosophy of Religion and Spinoza and Spinozism at the London School of Philosophy, where he will be teaching a course in the summer term 2017 on Philosophical Religions: East and West. He is currently taking a master’s degree in philosophy and religion at Heythrop College, University of London and plans to undertake doctoral research on Spinoza’s concept of ‘Intellectual Love of God’.
