John Heyderman received his BA degree in Philosophy at Birkbeck College, University of London, writing his dissertation on the mind/body problem in Spinoza and Davidson. He has an MA degree from Heythrop College, University of London in Philosophy and Religion. John has given talks and presentations, particularly on the philosophy of Spinoza, environmental ethics, and Jewish philosophy, for Philosophy For All , Pinner Philosophy Group, Gerrards Cross Philosophy Group, Beit Klal Yisrael, Arkadia International Bookshop (Helsinki), the Leeds Philosophical and Literary Society and to various audiences. He has taught courses including Philosophy of Religion, and Spinoza and Spinozism at the London School of Philosophy. He is currently undertaking doctoral research at Birkbeck College on Spinoza’s concept of the ‘Intellectual Love of God’.
